Democrats Feel Better About Party Than Candidates; Republicans Feel Better About Giuliani Than Party
A survey tool that truly measures potential voters’ feelings about candidates shows some trends that are different than what is being seen in more traditional surveys. SenseUS™ Emotional Response Polling measures the emotional connection between potential voters and presidential candidates.
The survey, conducted by AdSAM®, and Itracks, indicates that while Hillary Clinton’s lead over the other Democratic contenders continues to widen, the vast majority of Democrats feel much stronger about their party, than they do about any one candidate. According to the survey’s index of emotional strength, Clinton’s number is 148, the party’s is 159. That brings into question the strength of any candidate – including Clinton. The survey suggests that Democrats will vote for their candidate no matter who it is.
On the Republican side, it appears to be Rudy Giuliani’s race to lose. He ranks higher than the party, with John McCain and Fred Thompson as the only other candidates who come close to his numbers or the party’s.
